Storm Defender®

Storm Defender®, waterproof breathable technology, stops rain, but let’s sweat escape through a breathable membrane—so you can work through a storm.

Staying dry, focused, and safer is easier with rainwear featuring Storm Defender® waterproof breathable technology. It's made to keep you completely protected from rain and amazingly comfortable inside. Work doesn't stop when it rains; it just gets harder. Lugging rain soaked garments around adds to the misery, but Carhartt's jobsite worthy raingear cuts the discomfort.

Good buy
They have worked well so far but I have had a downpour to test waterproof. The bibs could have an elastic band around the waste like other compeditors.

10/10
I used these skiing 3 days straight from greens to double blacks (on the eastern seaboard) these performed extremely well and kept me high and dry. Temps ranged from 20-50 throughout the days and nights and never felt like the bibs were lacking

Great for when the weather is at its worst, I feel very secure in them
They run a bit large which is perfect for layering but can be a bit bulky depending on what work you’re doing but I love mine and wear them often

Yup.
Does the job well. Went with a size up and short to allow flexibility in layering underneath.

Can the shoreline bib overall be used for fly fishing? I
Robert M on Mar 20, 2021
BEST ANSWER: This is a 10k/10k product. These bibs are a great option for downpours where you need your gear to be waterproof and breathable at the same time. They are not specifically designed for standing in water. Please reach out to 1 800 833 3118 if you need further assistance.
How noisy are these (#100735)? Anyone use these for hunting?
Young on Jan 2, 2021
BEST ANSWER: they sound like jogging pants when walking with the swish swish sound, but if you looking for something to protect you from rain and cold these are fantastic. I love these but they are not quite at all might need the cloth ones.
Can they be used for winter?
A shopper on Jan 1, 2021
BEST ANSWER: They can be used for winter. The fact that they deflect the wind and are waterproof makes this possible. This will be a good purchase for you. I worked construction in the Midwest for half of my 30yr. Career and I would have loved to have had these. Since I have purchased these I use them for spring fishing in rainy weather.
Are these good in any kind of weather and working in a marina?
A shopper on Nov 27, 2020
BEST ANSWER: These are not insulated but do cut wind very well and are waterproof. I’d go 1 size bigger in the bibs as the chest runs smaller than I thought. Great suit I’d buy again.
What bibs would you recommend for cold and rainy fishing?
A shopper on Nov 26, 2020
BEST ANSWER: We bought the shoreline Bibs overalls for our outside plant lineman. We work in rain and snow. These bibs are great and keep us warm and dry. MTC Operations Manager Mike
How tall is the model shown?
A shopper on Nov 2, 2020
BEST ANSWER: Model height: 6'2"; Chest size: 40.5"; Wearing size M
It states the inseam on the Large Regular is 32", is the inseam on the XLarge Regular 32" also?
David B on Oct 31, 2020
BEST ANSWER: All regular sizes will have an inseam of 32".
I’m going to doing deck work on a ship. Can anybody recommend me some good coveralls to wear?
A shopper on May 21, 2020
BEST ANSWER: I have purchased every style of bib-overalls from Carhartt, I’m 6’5” over 290 lbs, they are all comfortable, and last a long time, you can’t go wrong with any style you choose
If I wear a 34 waist and 32 length do I need a bigger size to wear pants under or does the size compensate for pants under bibs?
A shopper on May 14, 2020
BEST ANSWER: Depending on the type pants you are planning to wear I would. I got mine for snow removal at work and our first goal was to stay dry vs staying warm. I don't wear pants, just like a long john. They are incredibly warm for not being Arctic gear, we stay dry and light enough to make transitions indoors without over heating. Hope it helps. Enjoy!
I'M LOOKING FOR A PAIR OF BIBS TO KEEP ME DRY IN A FERTILIZER FACILITY IN TEMPS FROM 60 TO 90, WILL THESE BE TO HOT?
THOMPSON04 on Mar 12, 2020
BEST ANSWER: I have used this bib for fishing in cold temperatures (Northern California/Oregón áreas) and the bib have excelled under those conditions. They are very heavy duty type , I do not recommend them for hot weather environment as the materials are stiff and thick with good insulation . hope this help with your question
I work around rebar,,and wire rips a lot of my clothes. Would these hold up?
A shopper on Feb 9, 2020
BEST ANSWER: Probably not. I would go with duck bibs
Are they quilt lined or have any lining?
A shopper on Nov 5, 2019
BEST ANSWER: This style will not be lined.
Do these bibs have an elastic gaiter at the ankle?
A shopper on Oct 30, 2019
BEST ANSWER: No, this style will not.
How strong are these? My husband polishes granite for a living and we are sick of getting rain suits from Walmart. They are easily torn.
A shopper on Sep 25, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I wore these bibs in the middle of winter in upstate New York. Temperatures plummet to -30 sometimes. I worked on a dairy farm where I endured extremely cold and wet environments. They are a bit pricey but I was always warm and always dry. They never tore and zippers and buttons always worked. They got a little to warm when it reached about 40 to 50 degrees outside.
We received Bibs as a gift wrong size. Can we exchange them? I don't know where they were bought and still have tags on them. The man we got them from passed away.
A shopper on May 7, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Please contact us at 1-800-833-3118 so that we can assist you further.
what size is the 4xl?
bubba on Jan 26, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Our 4XL will fit a chest of 58-60 inches and waist of 52-54 inches.
so my question is has any one thought or used these bibs for snowboarding?
Steven B on Jan 6, 2019
BEST ANSWER: They work great for ski/snowboard. Only issue is the the side zips tend to unzip at the waist a little after bending down or crashing. Put 100 + days on a pair last season.
These compared to the force extreme shoreline angler bibs... which can hold up better in downpour rains? My boyfriend works outdoors at night for hours and some times in the down pour rains. Wondering which bibs would be best. Also need something good for all seasons.
A shopper on Nov 14, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Both will have the same waterproof protection.
Can you access your pants pockets while wearing these?
A shopper on Nov 13, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I lower the side zippers a bit from the waist and keep the buttons fastened and it works great. Worth noting that I tend to wear pants with side slit pockets, not jeans. It would probably be more difficult to access jean pockets.
