Armstrong Jac
Comfortable, durable and warm! Only thing that would make it better is if it were water proof and had a heavier zipper. Overall a great jacket!

Great Jacket
The pleats they have in the arms really make this jacket very comfortable to wear and provides full range of motion. It is typical Carhartt quality.

Excellent wind breaker. Just went through the New England blizzard of '18 and it was fantastic. I did spray some Scotchgard beforehand, just because I wanted to be sure to repel as much water as I can, and it worked exceptionally well with the water "resistant" spray.

For sizing, go one size down. I usually wear a large, but the medium fits great (even for my 15 year old).

If you really want to stay dry, you could layer it with one of the Rain Defender hoodies and not worry because if it gets through the coat, it won't get through the hoodie!

Great comfort, great pockets inside and out!

He is loving the extra length in the sleeve. At 6'2" he had never purchased a 'tall' piece of clothing. It looks wonderful, not like he may have borrowed another's jacket.

When are you going to offer Full Swing Active Jac in other colors? (Specifically gravel/gray)
A shopper on Jun 6, 2018
BEST ANSWER: We will not be carrying this style in any additional colors, but will be offering an updated version for Fall 2018. The updated style will be available in gravel.
Is there a hood?
A shopper on Dec 22, 2017
BEST ANSWER: This style has an attached hood.
Can I get this jacket tailored?Thqe sleeves are a little long
A shopper on Dec 1, 2017
BEST ANSWER: We apologize, we do not tailor garments. You are welcome to have them altered locally.
This coat fits well for length in the body and sleeves in Large. But the sleeve feel small in diameter and tight in the arm pit. Would a Tall help these two thoughts without making the sleeve length a bother? I normally buy a Tall coat...but that would make these sleeves two inches longer.
Sam O on Nov 22, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Tall sizes would add 2 inches to the body length and 2 inches to the sleeve length. We recommend selecting a size based on your chest and waist measurements using our Size and Fit Guide. Feel free to contact us if we can be of assistance.
Will the arm length shrink?
J E on Oct 31, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Overall garment shrinkage should be minimal. It should not shrink more than 2-4% over the life of the garment as long as you follow the care instructions.
How easy is it to get the sleeves on and off?
A shopper on Sep 19, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The sleeves have a quilted nylon lining, which has a smooth feel. This makes the jacket easier to take on and off.
Does this jacket have an inner pocket?
A shopper on Feb 5, 2017
BEST ANSWER: It has 2 inner pockets. One on the left with a zipper, and one on the right without a zipper
Can you PLEASE make this in high viz class 2 or 3!? You would sell 10 times more of these. I put one on and it's an awesome jacket, but I work construction and am required to wear high viz gear.
A shopper on Jan 30, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your suggestion. We will share your input with Product Design.
Will you make it in a medium tall?
A shopper on Jan 24, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Not in the near future, but we will gladly share your interest in that size with Product Design.
Will they make this jacket in 3xl tall?
A shopper on Jan 19, 2017
BEST ANSWER: We appreciate your feedback and will forward your suggestion to our Product Design Team for future consideration.
Will you make a 3xlt in this jacket?
A shopper on Jan 19, 2017
BEST ANSWER: We apologize we do not offer this style in 3xl tall. We are happy to forward a suggestion to our Product Design team.
Is this jacket truely water repellant? A sales person in one of your stores said it is not.
A shopper on Jan 14, 2017
BEST ANSWER: This garment is not water repellent. However, you can treat it with something like Nikwax or Scotchgard to give it some level of water repellency. Please verify that it is labeled as safe for cotton fabrics.
Can you give a list and description of the pockets? Are any of the pockets designed for a phone i.e. interior headphone access?
Dave H on Jan 7, 2017
BEST ANSWER: This jacket features two front handwarmer pockets, a zippered outer chest "map pocket" (roughly 6" measured right to left, and roughly 6.5" measured vertically). Inside on the right, it has a non-zippered pocket with a hook and loop (Velcro-like) tab to help secure it. It is about 6" deep vertically, and roughly 5" wide. The inside lefthand pocket is zippered on a diagonal. The zippered opening is about 6" long and roughly 5.5" wide and its deepest part.
Is "Shepa" synthetic or animal product ????
carlos d on Jan 5, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The Sherpa lining is synthetic.
I bought a full swing armstrong jacket #101692 and the front zipper does not smoothly go up and down. It can get difficult at midway and i sometimes just give up and leave at that point. Is there a way to lubricate the zipper to improve its getting stuck? I made sure the zipper path was free of any material but the path is slightly wavy and I considered trying to iron it smooth and flatter to improve the zipper path. The jacket is brand new and I love it but the zipper problem can be frustrating, any advice ?
moteman on Jan 5, 2017
BEST ANSWER: We are sorry to hear this. You can sometimes help matters by putting a bit of candle wax or soap on the zipper track. However, if the problem persists, please contact Customer Service at 1 800 833 3118.
Does the hood fit over hardhats?
A shopper on Dec 30, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Over a hard hat ? Nah, it can fit UNDER a hard hat thought
Do

BEST ANSWER: We do not temperature rate our garments, but we do categorize them as warm, warmer or warmest. This style is considered warmer.
Will dog hair stick to, or fall off the outer shell?
A shopper on Dec 8, 2016
BEST ANSWER: No. Dog hairs will definately not stick to the outer part of the jacket. Our Bishon has laid on the jacket during her shedding time and a simple swipe removes all of it (from the outer part of the jacket).
Is there Shepa lined hood ?
A shopper on Dec 5, 2016
BEST ANSWER: We do not have a Sherpa lined hood, but the Akron Hat (100774) is Sherpa-lined.

What lining is in the sleeves?

What is the difference between the 101691 and the 102360 jackets?

I am referring to the active jacs that have hoods.
A shopper on Sep 18, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The differences are minor. We have updated the center front construction, added a bottom hem bungee, and moved the Full Swing logo from the arm to the interior on the newer Armstrong jacket.
Which is more warmer for winter insulation (Michigan) weather.. Fleech or Sherpa Iining?
A shopper on Sep 14, 2016
BEST ANSWER: We do not temperature rate any of our garments, however, the warmest of those would be our Sherpa lining. The warmest lining that we offer all together is our Arctic Quilt or Quilted Flannel lining.
Does it run big or small?
A shopper on Sep 14, 2016
BEST ANSWER: This garment should be true to size. It does taper down a bit smaller in the bottom of the garment (the bottom opening is slightly smaller than the top of the garment). Please feel free to contact Customer Service at 1 800 833 3118 for sizing assistance.
My question was what has changed between the recently discounted Full swing sandstone active jac style #101691 and the new full swing Armstrong active jac? Both jackets list a Sherpa/fleece lining and the pictures show an identical lining.

Apart from removing the Full swing logo from the upper right sleeve area and the name change, what else has changed between these two jackets?

I apologize for the confusion I should have included the full swing portion of the name, I thought it would be implied that was what i was talking about.
A shopper on Aug 27, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The 101691 features a hood, has a rib-knit band at the bottom, and is about 1.5 inches shorter in length than the newer 102359 (the new Armstrong). The 102359 has no hood and features a corduroy collar. It is about 1.5" inches longer than the older style, and has a straight bottom without the rib-knit band.
What has changed on this jacket now that it is called Armstrong active Jac vs the Sandstone active Jac previously offered?
Cory. on Aug 17, 2016
BEST ANSWER: This is different than our Sandstone Active Jacket (J130). This jacket is made of the same outside material (Sandstone Duck), however, this garment will have stretch sherpa lining in upper body and fleece lining in lower body. Our style# J130 Sandstone Active Jacket has a Flannel lining which is considered to be warmer than our Sherpa lining. This one (102360) also has different features such as the Mighty Back® bi-swing between shoulders for instant recovery, Flex Elbow™ for less restriction and an attached fleece-lined hood with adjustable drawcord closure.
Is this jacket new?
A shopper on Aug 14, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes, this is a new style that was recently added to our Full Swing collection.
