Engineered For Midrange Warmth in Moderately Cold Conditions

Gear with a rating of WARMER makes an ideal first-line of defense in cold weather. Delivering the extra warmth that comes in handy when there’s suddenly less daylight but always more to get done. That’s why our LEVEL 2 rated gear is built lighter and more flexible than more traditional heavyweight jackets, but it’s also Sherpa-lined and insulated for greater warmth and comfort.

Needs a removable hood.
I love the coat it's a great fit but the hood design is not good ??. It's a poor design, it should've been made to be removed for comfort when not needed. Removable hood and a few more pockets would make this coat a must have.

Stiff
Relaxed Fit should also mean not stiff as a board. I bought these for my son and boyfriend and both complain the hood and jacket are very stiff. The hood blocks vision and won't lay down. Even after washing, they remain too stiff to be comfortable.

Hood is pretty bad.
The jacket is overall very nice. Lining, wrist cuffs, pockets, all good. The HOOD! With the top 1/3 of zipper not up it rubs against the back of your head. If you zip it up all the way, this jacket will choke you out. With the hood on, it's pretty decent and snug. Just not wearable.

Swing and a Miss
Owning lots of Carhartt items I was excited to try DUX line. The fit and finish are good. The issues are the hood/neck area. Hood won't lay down and hits back of head. I'm sure it will break in eventually. The biggest issue is the Sherpa lining. This is not the Sherpa from even last year. This is like carpet. It's not very warm it's not soft. It carpet. Also what's with the sleeves? They are like bell bottoms on arms. Odd. Overall way to $$ for what you get and be aware. Sherpa is carpet.
