Love it!
I absolutely love it. It's been hard to find this jacket here in Canada, so I ordered it online. Customer service was very reassuring before ordering it.
I've lost a little bit of weight, so the jacket does fit a little larger than I would like, but nothing if any substance.
My only complaint would be that I was expecting it via Purolator courier, and it came in the mail a little later than I was expecting.
Looking forward to many years of use.

Just TERRIBLE ! What has happened to the FIT, to the QUALITY, to the COMFORT ? What has happened to C A R H A R T T ?
What is Carhartt thinking these days? What happened to the great (and comfortable) coats & jackets that they once manufactured? Unfortunately, this is the second most, "ill-fitting" garment, that I have ever tried on. While wearing only a thin tee-shirt, this jacket was obviously way too tight and binding through the chest, as well as in the upper arm area. Why are the sleeves, now so skinny? And this was supposed to be a "relaxed fit". Oh well, you can forget layering, and on top of that, those sleeves were about 4 inches too long. The jacket was a "large", while the size chart recommended that I needed a "medium"(?), so what am I to do? Only my finger tips were exposed in the large size.
But putting all this aside, this was just an "ill-fitting" garment. The way it was cut is nothing at all like the good old stuff from years ago. Actually been wearing Carhartt jackets for 50+ years. Are today's people shaped so differently, than they were back when stuff actually fitted, and most of all, was comfortable? I just don't understand. Why take great garments and "cheeeeep" them up.
Oh, and I mentioned that this was the second most ill-fitting garment I have ever put on. Well, the other most ill-fitting garment that I have put on, was another style of Carhartt jacket, which I ordered and tried about 6-7 months ago (all the same problems). Both have now been returned and I think I am done with Carhartt. What a disappointment this company has become, and I really, now cherish all of my old Carhartt's, holes and all. They were made for people. I'm not sure who today's stuff is being made for, or made by. Does anyone at Carhartt ever try to wear, or at least try on, any of this new stuff ?

Detroit Jacket
I've worn Carhartt products for over 40 years and they are hard to beat. I've always had a classic Detroit jacket but found it increasingly hard to replace them with the exact same one. This new Detroit jacket is definitely a different cut from the old one. I have a 42-43" chest but knew from past experience that a medium would fit perfectly. The insulation feels warmer and softer than the old style. Overall I'm very happy with my purchase. Hopefully it will wear as well as the older Carhartt attire did. It's getting increasingly harder to find decent quality work and leisure wear , I still think Carhartt is your best bet.
