Professional bass fishing has not seen a natural young talent like Jordan Lee for three decades. The younger of The Lee Brothers began showing signs of greatness while still in high school when he won big tournaments in Northern Alabama competing against men with twice the birthdays and bass fishing experience. He then went on to dominate the Carhartt College Bass Fishing Series as a student at Auburn, where he qualified as the college representative at the 2014 Bassmaster Classic, and nearly won it. And then … in 2017, amid a made-for-the-movie-screen kind of plot, he overcame a spot way down the leaderboard, and outboard motor issues on the final day of competition, to win the Bassmaster Classic. And perhaps more impressive than his dramatic win of bass fishing’s biggest event, is the fact he has finished in the Top 10 of the Toyota Bassmaster Angler of the Year points race every year he’s been a pro.
