My (current) favorite pants
I typically wear the washed duck double-front pants (B136), but for just general day-to-day use I find them to be a little too loose & a little to heavy-weight, especially during the summer months. These are a much less loose fit (I'm a powerlifter & I generally have to wear looser pants to fit my big quads), but the little bit of spandex makes them just stretchy enough that they don't feel too tight. I have two of these. The first pair is over a year old now and I haven't managed to wear any holes in them or blow out any seams yet. However, I'm not very tough on my pants - most of the wear comes from my outdoor chores & DIY building projects. Overall I love these pants, mostly because I like the way they fit & aren't so heavy, but also because my wife the way I look in them (actually, it's probably mostly that one)

very comfortable!
We bought some of these pants for our crews to wear during the hot summer months. We normally wear the heavy duck materials pants which are very tough and durable, but they really heat you up and do not offer as much dexterity as we would like on the roof (we are a solar company). These pants have more give which has been great, especially with a safety harness on.

Great pants comfortable and functional for work, side leg pockets great size.
Only negative is that they tend to fade quickly with wear

Bring the rivets back
Not exactly what I was wanting. 2 years ago I ordered some relaxed fit double-fronts from y’all and they were durable. The second layer was riveted. They were my favorite pants. The pants I received a couple weeks ago are baggy. There are no rivers and the material is less durable.

Much better alternative
Traditionally have worn the B01 Firm Dungaree. This cut is much better in my opinion for work. Im 6foot 210-215 athletically built. The trimmer fit is much better for climbing ladders and scaffolding. I bought a 34x34 instead of my normal 34x32 in hopes these wont shrink into floods

Great work pant. Light weight but tough enough to get the job done. Enough stretch vs. the standard duck pant.

Great pants!
So far these pants are awesome! I have been wanting Carhartt to make something like this for a long time and I am glad they did. I started with 2 pair and with in a month I bought another 2 pair. The have just enough flex when kneeling or crouching. The are also extremely comfortable. These will be my go to pants from now on. Only negative is they need to make them in more colors. I would highly recommend these to anyone.

They fit tighter than the lighter weight double front. A 30/32 fits like a 28/32.. unfortunately I didn’t try them on first.

Is there any good replacement for the style 100098?
A shopper on Feb 11, 2019
BEST ANSWER: 100098 were my favorite. I was about to give up on carhartt when they discontinued them. My new favorite is 103334.

How does the material compare to the duck material on the B01 pants?
A shopper on Dec 13, 2018
BEST ANSWER: The 'rugged flex' version has an out-of-the-box comfort and soft feel that the normal, stiff duck fabric lacks. There is no perceivable flex; somewhat like normal duck, already washed a bunch and broken in. I really like these, in my mind an improvement on a classic.
Can you verify that these do indeed have a hammer loop? If you Google item, all pictures show no loop
A shopper on Oct 29, 2018
BEST ANSWER: We are sorry for any confusion. This style does have a hammer loop.
Going to make in Black?
P L on Oct 1, 2018

Besides the flex, how do these compare to the discontinued 100098 style? I tried the rigby’s but they were nowhere near as durable.
A shopper on Sep 28, 2018
BEST ANSWER: This style is made with a 12 ounce duck material, similar to the material that was used on style 100098.
What is the weight of the material, 8 oz? 12 oz?
P L on Sep 26, 2018
BEST ANSWER: This style is made with a 12 ounce material.
