Not a bad shirt, it looks nice and seems like it will hold up well, but it’s essentially a $45 navy colored dress shirt. I like a pen/badge slot in the shirt pocket and this shirt doesn’t have that feature. Moreover, it’s a bit warm. Overall, it isn’t a suitable replacement for the twill work shirt.

Very long lasting and durable. I use them for work and I *love* these shirts, but sure wish there were more colors.

My go to shirt for work! Super comfortable and durable even in the high heat and humidity of Virginia Summers. Additional pocket is great for storing additional items. Frequently have guests request to purchase the shirts. Size large is a perfect fit at 6’4” 225lbs. and 44” chest.

Have a number of other items from the Rugged Professional line, and recently tried this shirt. A couple of take-aways:

-Plusses
--Love the zippered map pocket, as it is very large, and can easily fit larger cell phones.

-Personal preference
--Really miss the "pen stall" that some other Carhartt shirts have in the breast pocket. I don't know what it is about it - maybe just always knowing where my pen is at and not having to guess and look for it.
--Not sure about the double breast pockets.

-Climate
--Shirt material doesn't seem as friendly in warmer climates as some other shirts.

-Durability
--Not sure if just the shirt I got, but a number of loose threads appeared after the first wash (nothing a pair of scissors couldn't fix).

My husband loves this shirt. It's got Carhartt's durability and besides the front pocket for pens and pencils, he LOVES the phone side pocket! Great job Carhartt, keep this one in stock - need more colors!

this is a great shirt. i have a hard time finding work shirts in my size and these are great. need to offer more colors so i can where them a different from everyday for a couple of weeks.
