Does Carhartt do embroidery?

No, we do not provide any type of embroidery or screen printing on our products. If you would like, you can email Customer Service and we will be happy to provide you with a list of Carhartt customers that do provide this service.

The best way to personalize your PVC garment is to silk screen your design, using special quick drying inks called One Stop or One Step. Because PVC melts when heated, a dryer cannot be used in the silk screening process. Be sure to let your garment air dry. Please note, the silk screen may eventually wear away due to the nature of PVC. There is no good permanent way to embellish the garment.

Is my Carhartt garment waterproof?

Do I need to retreat my Carhartt garment?

Many of our garments are water repellant. Carhartt traditional garments are produced from the duck fabric and are treated to provide water repellency. However, after one to three washings, the fabric must be retreated. There are a number of products on the market you can use to do this. They can be purchased at a local grocery or hardware store. Follow the instructions on the bottle when applying.

We recommend that you retreat your coat/jacket with a water repellent product.
