After buying the Chambray S118 for years, Carhartt redesigned the shirt with unsatisfactory results. Thinner fabric (4.5 oz compared to the former S118 Chambray 5.5 oz.) meaning not as durable. Shorter tails. Will not buy again.
Have number of these shirts in different colors, only thing I did not like was seems they run little large for the size, also would prefer slimmer fit through tummy area, that said I will purchase again except go with next size smaller.
I buy Carhartt shirts for my nephew. He will not wear any shirts other than Carhartts. So, for his birthday this September, I bought three of Carhartts heavier short sleeve shirts, but was afraid that he would want the thinner ones. So, I had to go on line to get the thinner ones. I gave him one of each. He loves both of them. He started telling me the strength of the shirts, how the buttons stay on, and etc. After listening to him carry on about Carhartt shirts, if I were a man, that's the shirts I would buy! I would rate your short-sleeve shirts with all stars! I am rating these after listening to my 50 yr old nephew.
I have ordered the short sleeved chambray shirt many times. I work outside in the Florida heat. It keeps me cool and the tall size stays tucked in all day. I am hard on my work clothes. These shirts last over 1 year. That's double the wear from my previous brand. I love the comfort and the fit. Won't buy anything else. Like the colors available also.
The only shirts to fit my 3xlt man of steel. He is very happy he can order online as these are difficult to find in ANY store. Need a more variety of color options. He has a very old green one which isn't a color option any longer.
Well made, fits great/size accurate and looking forward to a great summer wearing this "cool" shirt. Quality product. My Carhartt jacket is now 16 years old and a bit rough around the edges and I'm still lovin it.
These are the ONLY shirts my hubby can wear. 3xlt. He isn't fat just tall and broad shoulders. The short sleeves are long enough to not curl up in his armpits. His favorite thing about the shirts are the pen slot in the breast pocket.
