Great Jacket!!
This jacket is great! I loved the color, although it says blue dusk, it appeared more purple, which is ok with me. I loved it. Working outdoors in cold temps, this was great because it kept me warm and even after being outside in the rain all day, the jacket wasn't soaked, nor were my clothes I had on underneath. I loved that it has a hood and the pockets that zip up. I can wear between a small and a medium and I got a small and it fit well, wasn't too tight around the shoulder or the arms, was long enough, sleeves went all the way down my arms. I've washed this about 20 times now and it still looks new and still keeps me warm. The sherpa lining is still as soft as it was when I got it. Cleans easily.

Outstanding Jacket
I received this jacket yesterday and I am already impressed. The quality and workmanship are top notch. I couldn't have asked for better. The jacket is very warm and at 20 degrees I am very comfortable. I am never comfortable at 20 degrees. I can see this jacket handling the single digits without a problem. The fit is perfect for me and to the touch it's soft. I have read other reviews that say the jacket is stiff at first, but I haven't noticed it. I have had a ton of compliments today and according to some of the guys I spoke to, this jacket will be the last I need to buy for a long time. I like that.

too short for taller people
I am 5'10" tall and while the medium size dark plum looks smashing on, it is not very practical for my intentions. In the cold in which I live, the idea of bending over in the slightest and having cold air rush up my back is very unappealing. I found the Large to be too boxy on top, across the chest to the underarm connections, but the sleeves a better length. The Medium fit me better through the body, but the sleeves were on the short side. But with both sizes, the back was just too short. Yes, it made my butt look great, but I have other jackets that serve that function. ;o) Wish Carhartt would make a "Tall" in this style and give us ladies over 5'8" just a couple of more inches in length.

In the end I went with the Women's Sandstone Sherpa Ridge in a Medium which has a longer length while still looking stylish and shapely.

Never wearing anything else
This is probably the most amazing jacket I own. I got it as a birthday present and am never going back to a normal fleece again. It is perfect for the fog and the wind that I get plus I wear it to the barn and get mud all over it but never on me!

I love my first Carhartt!
I bought the deep wine. The picture of deep wine on this website is NOTHING like it is in real life. It basically looks black here. I had to google the same jacket and find examples of what it really looked like before I bought it. It is a beautiful dark, dark purple color. It's the best of the colors in my opinion!

I got an XS. I'm 5'2'' 110 lbs and it fits loose enough to feel comfortable working outside in this jacket.

It's well made and I know it will last me for forever. The only thing I don't like is that the shape is boxy on me and it doesn't have something to keep the cold from running in bottom like the bottom band in other Carhartt jackets, but I expected that from the pictures. Still very, very warm.

Lastly, the sherpa lining is great because it looks just the same as when you bought it after you wash it. I hate when clothes start to pill or fade after washing. Love this jacket!

everyone in the family has to have one
I have always loved the carhart brand. My family are all farmers and ranchers, and for years carhart has been a necessity for us. when I was a child and helped feed the cows during winter I watched my papa put on that old carhart that he had for years and go out in the cold. one day I asked why didnt we get the cows a carhart so they could stay warm. this product has been in my family for generations and its a tradition that everyone has to have at leasst one carhart coat. love the fit. it doesnt constrickt movement when feeding livestock or riding. and its the only coat that I have not had to replace with the kids. its worth the investment.

LOVE this jacket!
This jacket in Blue Dusk (size small) was a Christmas gift to myself this year. I've wanted a Carhartt for a while now (because everyone I've talked to that owns one LOVES theirs) and I needed something that would not only keep me warm (because I freeze at work in the winter) but on that could hold up to how bad I destroy jackets (the one I had was not Carhartt and beyond repair after a year of wear & tear)

The color is BEAUTIFUL! It's almost a periwinkle color and while my favorite color is pink I'm thrilled with how pretty this is in person. The jacket while a bit heavier than what I'm used to wearing seems like it will hold up well. The zipper runs pretty smoothly and the lining is wonderful. Tested it out when I had to run to the car. I normally FREEZE in any sort of weather below 40 degrees and like a friend at work told me, "cold air will NOT go through a Carhartt" I was absolutely amazed that I was nice and warm inside this coat. Its nice to know I won't freeze at 4 am when I have to leave for work in the winter. Its also roomy enough that I can squeeze my rather thick hoodie underneath it.

My only semi-complaint is that being a bit style-conscious I kind of look like a big purple/blue marshmallow when its all zipped up. (I know I know its whether or not it keeps me warm and lasts the test of time) but to be honest I'm super happy with my purchase and will be ordering more from Carhartt in the future!

Deep Wine
I love this color. The jacket is a great fit. Even slims your body. Womens sizes fit smaller than mens.

The BEST Jacket
This is, hands down, the best, most comfortable jacket that I've ever worn. The best part? That is looks good as well!!! I live in a cold area, so warmth always takes precedence over style. So when I tried this jacket on, I was over the moon that I would stay warm while wearing a great looking jacket! The durability of the jacket is also very important, as I've got young kids, a very big, very active dog and am outdoors often doing any number of things. I also am thrilled that this coat can be washed and dried with all my other clothes without any special treatment. Thank YOU Carhartt for getting the design and style correct! (I love the colors too... I got Raspberry and would love to have the deep wine as well... maybe next fall I will!)

Very warm and durable
I have had this jacket over two years now and it is still in perfect condition. I have worn it in rain and snow for up to ten hours and it was not soaked through. It is easy to clean and the lining is still soft and fluffy.

I am a 5'7" female who normally wears a medium to large t-shirt. I bought an XL jacket so it fits over other jackets underneath and it fits really well. I gave 4 stars for comfort/fit because I have a long torso and this jacket only comes down two inches or so above my waist line, so it is a little awkwardly short. I still wear it and love it though.
