Last Forever
The weekend before my dad died in May of 1986 he was out in the woods in his Carhartt overalls cutting wood. As was his norm, he removed his Carharts and hung them up in his shop. No one else has ever been big enough to wear my dad's Carharts (he was 6'6") until this past year when my fifteen year old son needed something warm to wear outside to work. He had outgrown his old carharts and I did not have the time to go get him new ones to wear that day. I went to the shop, behind the door were my dad's overalls. My son put them on and still, after twenty-two years, he stayed warm and dry all day. I know my dad was so proud to see my big boy wearing his workclothes!

don't like any of the womens bibs? stick with this classic
I wanted durable overalls and I knew these were reliable and durable and I am happy they have so much variance in size so that a smaller person can still have cozy bibs. I ordered these in moss in a 32 x 30. I am very happy with the fit as I am 5'4 and 105lbs and it is not too baggy or wide.

A good choice for a woman who is not satisfied with the limited women's choices but still wants a pair of bibs that will serve their purpose. I buy products with the intent to use them forever and I am confident these will stand the test of time.

Great Product!
I bought 3 pairs of these overalls for myself and two sons for deer hunting. The sandstone finish feels broken-in right out of the shipping box. They are well made and very warm. I like the versatility of the overalls, I can take my coat off when the day warms up and not be uncomfortable. Don't be afraid to size up, I am a 38 waist and ordered a 42, if I layer underneath, a 44 would have fit better.

Best Gift I've Given Him
I got the bib overalls for my husband's birthday. He loves them so much he wishes winter would last alot longer. He now has the coat and bib overall in moss green. I'm not sure but I think he would sleep outside just to wear them.

Buy larger than your size.
Great product but I forgot how small they run. I had to buy 3 sizes larger than my pants size.

Carhartt bib overalls
These overalls definitely are definitely a great buy. I've tried other brands once before trying to save a few bucks, and never went without my Carhartts again! They fit great, and are durable so it seems like they last forever.
I have purchased quite a few of the overalls over the years without really needing to. I still wear the first pair that I bought years ago and about the only thing that I ever did to them was spray more water repellent on the after about 20 to 25 washes which is understandable. You won't be disappointed!

What are the differences between this bib (R27) and the Duck bibs (R38)?
Dan T on Oct 18, 2016
BEST ANSWER: -The R38 is made of our firm hand duck, so it is a very stiff, tough cotton canvas. The outer shell
on the R27 is sandstone duck. We microsand the regular firm duck to give it a more broken-in
feel.
-The R38 is a bibberall, so the upper body is insulated as well as the lower body. The R27 is only lined in the bottom half
- The R38 has a central front zipper and diagonal zippered pockets on the bib part. The R27 has only a fly zipper and leg zippers
-The garments are sized differently. With the R38, you would order based on your actual waist size. With the R27, you order one size up from your waist size if wearing alone, and two sizes up if you are wearing heavier layers underneath.

How warm are these? I know the arctic quilt is warmer, though by how much? I will be using these to work outside here in eastern Canada which can get pretty frosty however I can be in and out of a building/house in the same day depending on work at hand. I don't want to be sweating too much if I have to be inside for a few hours. (Carpentry/Reno's)
Funky Bunch on Oct 26, 2016
BEST ANSWER: We do not temperature rate our garments, but we do categorize them as warm, warmer or warmest. This style would be considered warmer and the arctic lining would be considered warmest.
