I own two other Carhartt denim shirts but couldn't refuse trying this one on sale at Bob's Stores. The spandex blend makes this shirt softer than my other two and just a touch lighter weight. I think it will dry faster if it gets wet, too. The no-flap chest pockets are deep enough and have a button so I haven't found my stuff falling out. The extra pocket inside the left one is helpful as well. Here's why I didn't give 5 stars all around: I'm still no great fan of the "Relaxed Fit" line. Unlike "Original Fit", Large is too tight around chest/shoulders so I need XL. In some styles it's been ok but in this shirt, sleeves were a bit long and cuffs too large, even with 2nd button so, for now I just turned up the cuffs a little. If they don't shrink up a bit I will just move the outer button, no big deal. Also noticed out of 3 or 4 XLs in the store, this was the only one where the pockets were evenly lined up. Others had one lower than the other. So, watch for tailoring issues but at least the buttons seem well-fastened. Only issue there was having to trim off some extra thread. Finally, at first wash separately a few times, I notice the blue dye rubbing off a little. I think this shirt will wear well and "break in" nicely over time with washing and wearing. Overall, I love all my Carhartt gear; it makes me look forward to getting ready for and going to work. Thanks Carhartt!

Awesome Shirt Terrible Size Options
Really nice denim shirt, but I now know that the “Relaxed Fit” is not for me. It means slim fit, but I guess that isn’t macho enough sounding for guys who wear Carhartt. If you have narrow shoulders and long arms then you will love this shirt. If you have broad shoulders and think that you can order the next size up to fit into one of these make sure that you have really long arms. In order for the shoulders and chest to fit me I ordered up a size because the medium was too tight in the shoulders, but now the sleeves on the large shirt come down over my hands. My sleeve size in dress shirts is 33” which is normal for someone who usually wears a medium to large. Anyway, this is just a warning so that those with a stocky build don’t get fooled by “Relaxed Fit”, which sounds roomy and comfortable, it should be called slim fit, fitted, or modern fit like other companies do. I wish this fit me. It’s a really nice shirt.
