I have bought this style Carhartt cap in the past and the fit and feel was not really appealing to me so passed them on to other family members. I recently noticed they updated the logo so decided to try ordering again in hopes of a better hat - AND I am impressed. First off, thank you Carhartt for making this hat in the USA. The quality is great. Very warm material that is thick and comfortable. Great coverage that fits down over my ears and back of my neck. (I wear a 7-3/4" size fitted baseball cap) Brim is flexible but holds its form. You can fold it up and put it in your back pocket without worry it will be ruined. My two sons wear it and it looks great on them as well (both under 10 years old) I am ordering another in a different color as I love these "Radar O'Reilly" style hats and want another one to keep in our old Jeep. They fit nice and snug and won't blow off when driving.
The hat is great, it goes with my carhartt hoodie. It is very warm and durable only issue i have is it could be a little less snuff other than that it is a very good hat and would recomend anyone to purchase this hat.
I always wear a ball cap in the summer, but I always froze my ears off in the winter. I never found a stocking cap that could fit comfortably over top of the ball cap. This hat takes care of that with one piece. Keeps the sun out of your eyes, and your ears nice and toasty. Every ball cap wearer should have one for the cold months!
I am fairly pleased with the quality for money. Quick shipping. The only thing I am displeased with is the "One size fits all" I would like it to be a little bigger, its tight on my head but not to the point it is uncomfortable. Maybe an "average" & "large" size.
It forms well to the head, great low coverage even for large heads, the bill does its job but does not get in the way of work. Great for cold weather as it comes down low enough to cover the ears and doesn't ride up. I've put it through several washes and it's still holding up its shape, bill and all.
Owning several watch caps, I came across this and knew it was a must-try item. The little visor seems like a purely stylish add-on, however, in the snow, sleet and rain that little visor works wonders. The cap can even be spun around and the visor can be used to help block the wind off of your neck when its -15 and the wind is gusting a -40 wind chill outside. Every little bit helps. My watch caps (Carhartt brand of course) have typically lasted around five years or so before the fabric begins to reach its breaking point and becomes severely degraded and somewhat raspy on the skin. These caps see heavy use: a lot of sweat, grease, oil, and other chemicals in my line(s) of work. I consider the Carhartt watch cap an essential product in my arsenal of gear to resist the environment.
