Amazing! I farm, hunt, and fish. This coat is amazing, it moves with you, with your shoulders, never bunches up or restricts your movement. Definitely a go to for me!

Great start let's keep making it better
Just got it and great for turning a wrench under a truck. The lower back is made out of a thin type of fleece so it doesn't hold mud as much as say the upper back that is a deeper padded fleece that helps when your laying down on rocks. The sleeves don't grab you when working on something so there's less fatigue. The only downside I see is the inner hood could have a buffer plastic/rubber lining to keep more wind and water out and be made of something better so it would be easier to wipe out the mud

Best overall jacket!!
This jacket is awesome! I have owned your pro typical carhartt jacket with hood in the passed and I wore a size medium. Carhartt runs naturally larger, so a medium was fine back then. I was a little unsure what size to get this jacket in and decided to go with large. Glad I did. The Armstrong jacket fits true to size and the flexible elbows and back allows for free movement without the riding up effect that I got with previous carhartt jackets. This jacket is awesome. I wear it everyday. It's warm, keeps cold air out. It's a great work jacket as well as a casual jacket. Nailed it with this one carhartt

Great jacket worth every penny!
Runs a little big however. I wear a medium in pretty much every thing, But a small would have been perfect I think.

Nice, improved winter jacket.
I have purchased several of standard J-140 carhartt winter jackets in the past so I thought I would try this one out for a change. I like it alot, its way more flexible, feels broken in already, has an extra pocket. I think carhartt really tried to put some thought into this and it turned out well, I won't go back to the old style even though this is a little more expensive. I am an electrician and count on having a quality jacket for working outdoors. It was pretty much impossible to find in several stores and I ended up having to order it directly from carhartt.

Amazed how comfortable it is
My expectation for such a warm jacket was it would be a tight fit. I was wrong. The full swing is no joke. I have full range of arm motion. I bought 13 of these jackets for my team at work and everyone said they fit true to size. I'm very tall, 6'9" so my XXL Tall was a little shorter than I would have liked but I've come to expect as much.

I am referring to the active jacs that have hoods.

Is "Shepa" synthetic or animal product ????
carlos d on Jan 5, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The Sherpa lining is synthetic.
I bought a full swing armstrong jacket #101692 and the front zipper does not smoothly go up and down. It can get difficult at midway and i sometimes just give up and leave at that point. Is there a way to lubricate the zipper to improve its getting stuck? I made sure the zipper path was free of any material but the path is slightly wavy and I considered trying to iron it smooth and flatter to improve the zipper path. The jacket is brand new and I love it but the zipper problem can be frustrating, any advice ?
moteman on Jan 5, 2017
BEST ANSWER: We are sorry to hear this. You can sometimes help matters by putting a bit of candle wax or soap on the zipper track. However, if the problem persists, please contact Customer Service at 1 800 833 3118.
Do
you sell any jackets without polyester sleeves?
A shopper on Dec 17, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Most of our jackets have quilted nylon sleeves. Please contact us for further assistance.
Will dog hair stick to, or fall off the outer shell?
A shopper on Dec 8, 2016
BEST ANSWER: It shouldn't. The inner, yes. But the outer lining doesn't attract my Lab's hair like everything else.
Is there Shepa lined hood ?
A shopper on Dec 5, 2016
BEST ANSWER: We do not have a Sherpa lined hood, but the Akron Hat (100774) is Sherpa-lined.
Does it run big or small?
A shopper on Sep 14, 2016
BEST ANSWER: This garment should be true to size. It does taper down a bit smaller in the bottom of the garment (the bottom opening is slightly smaller than the top of the garment). Please feel free to contact Customer Service at 1 800 833 3118 for sizing assistance.
My question was what has changed between the recently discounted Full swing sandstone active jac style #101691 and the new full swing Armstrong active jac? Both jackets list a Sherpa/fleece lining and the pictures show an identical lining.

Apart from removing the Full swing logo from the upper right sleeve area and the name change, what else has changed between these two jackets?

I apologize for the confusion I should have included the full swing portion of the name, I thought it would be implied that was what i was talking about.
A shopper on Aug 27, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The 101691 features a hood, has a rib-knit band at the bottom, and is about 1.5 inches shorter in length than the newer 102359 (the new Armstrong). The 102359 has no hood and features a corduroy collar. It is about 1.5" inches longer than the older style, and has a straight bottom without the rib-knit band.
What has changed on this jacket now that it is called Armstrong active Jac vs the Sandstone active Jac previously offered?
Cory. on Aug 17, 2016
BEST ANSWER: This is different than our Sandstone Active Jacket (J130). This jacket is made of the same outside material (Sandstone Duck), however, this garment will have stretch sherpa lining in upper body and fleece lining in lower body. Our style# J130 Sandstone Active Jacket has a Flannel lining which is considered to be warmer than our Sherpa lining. This one (102360) also has different features such as the Mighty Back® bi-swing between shoulders for instant recovery, Flex Elbow™ for less restriction and an attached fleece-lined hood with adjustable drawcord closure.
Is this jacket new?
A shopper on Aug 14, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes, this is a new style that was recently added to our Full Swing collection.
