Not what I was expecting from the Carhartt name
I like to wear button down shirts over another shirt in spring, winter and fall for layering. As I read reviews of previous people they tended to say that the shirts run a bit large so stick with your regular size. I am 6' 1" and 220 with broad shoulders. The first thing I noticed was the buttons that hold the collar down as that was something I missed when ordering, second, I should have gone up a size since it fit great BEFORE washing per the labels instructions. I have no idea why Carhartt would make a button down shirt that you could technically wear a tie? with it. The other thing that I noticed is that the shirt picks up everything, fuzz, hair and other light material. And as even used for minor work I am skeptical about it catching on something and ripping. I tried one shirt first, because, if it accomplished what I was looking for I would have bought more in different colors and a size larger. Disappointed in Michigan
I'm a 5' 9' lady and just like the styling of Carhartt shirts. I get the shirt tails cut way down. Shhirt is big and looks great. Love the color and big pockets. Because the fabric has been treated it never looks messy-though there is always the trade off with this king of fabric being not quite as cool on a hot day as cotton.
Great fit, flexible where it needs to be and dust comes clean by wiping it off without a trace. i have had this shirt and wore it a few times for odds and ends working around the house. kept me warm in the cool morning as well as cool on a warm afternoon with just rolling the sleeves up. great shirt
Don't disconcue that stupid button down collar thing.
This is a great shirt. If only it came in a light color. You see I like riding roller coasters and that stupid collar thing keeps one from be slapped around by a loose flap in the wind collar. The dark color of the shirt is not great in the summer time. I also wish you had a short sleeve version of this shirt with that stupid collar thingie. 120 mph on Kingda Kai sure sets a loose collar a flappin. Not comfortable. If Carhartt has a suggestion fill me in. Quickly. I'm heading back to Hershey Park, and 6 Flags.

A good shirt
I agree with the other reviewer. Why on earth would Carhartt make shirts with the button down collars. They never fit well if you are not wearing them all buttoned up with a tie. I strongly encourage Carhartt to discontinue the stupid button down collar thing. No one wants that! That is wearing Carhartt that is. Other than that, nice tough well made shirt, just what I think one would expect.
