RUNS WAY TOO LARGE
recently purchased these for work, i am 5'10 170-180 lbs, and with wearing lightweight thermals underneath, they are large enough i can fit my arms inside of them at my sides, and the legs are large enough i could fit 2 of mine in one leg. not even close to true to size. great quality, very warm, just huge.

Please tell me when you have garments in my size.
My only complaint is that Carhartt does not cover the sizes for smaller men who are not fat.

Your 30-30 is nowhere near true to size. At least as I understand sizing.

I will be returning my purchase due to a error in size.

This is an EXTREMELY difficult company to deal with if you are anything but average or "SUPER-SIZE" !!

As for quality.... It's A+

GREAT PRODUCT.
GREAT PRODUCT FOR THE PRICE. Runs large, but its a good thing, i wear 34x34, i got 34 length, 36 waist and i had extra room to comfortably wear a sweat shirt, bend over without the crotch ridding up.

I do ice fishing and winter fishing. Ive had another brand's bibs, ive had snow pants. I would compare these bibs to a competitor's except a way better price. I was out in these bibs in 20 degree weather and 30 mph wind with snow with a pair of sweats, work boots and wool socks, and i was toasty. No wind got into the zipper, the leg cuffs stayed over my boots so my ankles and feet werent getting cold. Great product, cant wait for ice fishing.

Depends on what you want them for
They for sure keep you hot, but they are very very stiff and make a lot of noise when walking from material rubbing together and the suspender straps metal on metal makes a fork on a plate sound also. But if you are just sitting around in the cold in them and not hunting lol these bad boys will make you sweat!!

Should I get something lighter if I'm not always going to be working in 10 weather? I'm a power lineman and it's not always that cold it gets that cold but normally stays between 20-30 degrees will this be too hot even if I wear very little or thin clothing underneath? Or should I get something lighter?
A shopper on Aug 27, 2017
BEST ANSWER: We don't temperature-rate our garments, however, the arctic quilt is the warmest insulation we offer. If you feel you may become overheated, you may wish to consider one of our midweight bibs.
Can you open these up/unzip to dump heat? Lots of reviews discussing overheating. Also, I wear a 33 waist, 30 inseam, 180lbs, 44" jacket... sizing recommendation?
AlaskaBound on Jul 21, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Sizes for this style are based on chest and waist measurements. We recommend using our Size and Fit Guide based on your measurements. We are always happy to help if you would like to give us a call at 800-833-3118. This style have a zipper from the waist down.
Does the inseam vary at all as you go up and down in waist size? For example, would the inseam on a 38x30 be the exact same length as a pair of 40x30?
A shopper on Mar 2, 2017
BEST ANSWER: No. The inseam (measurement from the crotch to the bottom of the leg) will be the same size for a 38x30 as it would be for a 40x30.
What is the weight of these? It would be something I consider when packing a backpack.
A shopper on Feb 6, 2017

What kind of kneepads should I use for my bibs?
Dustin Y on Dec 26, 2016
BEST ANSWER: You are welcome to purchase knee pads at the link below:

Why do some bibs have built for Alaska on the inside and some don't?
Dustin Y on Dec 26, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Our Style R33 was first field tested by pipeline workers in Alaska, and our bibs used to say Built For Alaska indicating they are warm enough for Alaska. We have since removed these words from the bibs, however, they are still just as warm. The only difference would be the words that are no longer printed on the inside.
What kind of kneepads are used in these bibs?
A shopper on Dec 26, 2016
BEST ANSWER: This style does not come with knee pads, however they do have openings in the knee area for knee pads. You are welcome to purchase knee pads at the link below:

www.safeworker.com
What is the best gear that is artic proof and water proof?
A shopper on Dec 18, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Definitely the Yukon extremes coverall! While not waterproof, you can trudge around in snow for hours and a) not get cold, and b) not get wet. The only negative is when the temperatures get higher than expected, you get hot...and then sweaty, and then cold. So on days when you think it could get warmer, consider your base layers.
What are the snaps for on the bottom of the pant leg ?
A shopper on Dec 16, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The snaps on the bottom are to keep the zipper closed. If you don't snap them, The more you walk, the more the zipper works it's way open.
I'm a woman & looking for bibs that I can wear for both snowmobiling & other activities. Would these work well for snowmobiling?
A shopper on Dec 16, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes, these bibs work awesome for snowmobiling, that what I mainly bought them for.. But I also do a lot of ice fishing during the winter when the weather DIP's into the - temps , and that where these bibs are Worth every penny!! If you live in snow than these bibs are a must!!
I wear a 30 waist would a 32 be to big?
A shopper on Dec 16, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Our sizes are based on chest and waist measurements. Please contact us with both measurements for further assistance.
My son just moved to Minneapolis and is snow plowing side walks. The equipment he driving is wind resistant but no heater. Would these bibs do the job of keeping him warm? Or to warm and another pair be better?
A shopper on Dec 16, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I'd say these are easily the best cold weather bibs for the money. "Polar expedition" type bibs are superior, but start at ~$400 and go up from there. These are very warm, easy to use & durable. Not water proof. Sizes are 'real-world', full-cut; don't order on the large side.
which one is warmer r03 or the r33?
A shopper on Dec 14, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Unfortunately, we do not temperature rate any of our garments, however, we do rate the linings by warm, warmer and warmest. They are both made with the warmest linings that we offer.

Do these come in 6x tall?

So do you just wear long johns under these and a coat? or do you wear long johns, jeans and these over them?
Roni M on Dec 3, 2016
BEST ANSWER: it depends on how cold it is out. I used them 10 degrees with the wind blowing and was warm not moving. if working I started to sweat to much. you can wear anything under them. I wore long john, thin cotton pants under mine. again it depends on weather, wind, and what you will be doing. Bob

Kelly O on Dec 2, 2016
BEST ANSWER: No, you would order your normal waist size with this garment. This garment is sized with the assumption that you will wear clothes underneath it.
