I live in the extreme arctic (Alaska) and I had always herd the “Extremes” were the way to go. I just received this product about a week ago and so far these coveralls are the best ones I have had. I work outside a lot and the quality and durability of these are great. As anyone who lives in these extreme conditions knows, it is paramount that your clothing be the best you can buy, I haft to say that I am very impressed with the product and will continue to buy Carhartt products.
I loved the colorado outdoors and all winter long my artic gear was never far from reach. From elk hunting to working in the woods I never was cold. This gear keeps the wind snow and ice from bothering you. I had a beard full of ice but the rest of me was warm and dry in -15° weather in 14" of snow. Hands down the best cold weather gear!!!
I have worked outdoors in Western and Northern Alaska and Canada, primarily NorthEast Canada at their oil terminals. i have worked tugboats and crude oil tankers, at these ports. Freezing rains, blowing icy winds, cold saltwater flowing over the sides of the vessels. This Carrhart Black Suit as we named it is a beauty. It is expensive, but it more than pays for itself. The first time, you don it, and walk outside. The wind and rain smack you hard! This product merely ignores it, it will make you so bold and overconfident of its ability. You might even forget to zip it up all the way. i recommend this product, because it works, pure and simple.
I ordered this for my Daughter who is in the Merchant Marines. She is on a Ship near Germany and it is very cold out on the water. She LOVES this product. I also got her the hood to help shield the wind. She said this was the best artic product she has EVER seen. Fits well and VERY durable. Keeps her very warm. She said she can moved easy with it on...Not so heavy it prevents you from moving around. Very well insulated.
I ride my Goldwing F6B year around and these Arctic Coveralls could not be improved upon for cold weather riding. I keep them hanging out in my garage and simply pull up three zippers and I am ready to ride. I have tested them while doing some extended riding, in below 30 degree temperatures, and honestly wanted to continue riding. There is absolutely no wind chill felt thanks to the waterproof exterior. If you watch any of those Alaskan Survivor type shows you will see guys wearing these outfits on their snow mobiles. While riding, I have actually had to unzip the front zipper just to release some excess body heat.
We purchased this for my husband and he is very pleased with it. The fitting/size information provided resulted in a perfect fit for a hard-to-fit guy, and the cut is such that there is enough room without excess bulk. You can tell at first glance it will probably be the most durable garment you will ever own, from the fabric to the zippers and other closures. Exactly what I expected from Carhartt, based on our experience with other products from jackets to jeans.
New job required me to be outside all day. Tried different brands. These turned out to be the best. Didn't feel as bulky to work in like the overalls and coat option. But doesn't allow for options when the day starts at zero and warms up to thirty. Even at zero, I was still warm and able to focus on work.
Makes extremely cold days not just tolerable but very comfortable. Breaks wind and rain. Holds core temperature steady. Very rugged, heavy duty material and stitching that is built to last. I can now look forward to working during cold sub freezing temperatures. I can focus on whats at hand and not about how cold it is. Worth every penny. Wish i had bought one sooner. Thank you Carhartt.

Called out at 6am to take Snow Craft 101, aka Happy Camper to learn survival skills to endure the frigid Antarctic for 29 hours. No worries when I have my Carhartt Stlye # X06 Men’s Extremes® Coverall / Arctic Quilt-Lined (and a cup of coffee…) – it’s like taking my sleeping bag along with me, only decidedly more functional – thanks to its ingenious 1000-denier Cordura®, water-repellent nylon, it is lined with Carhartts warmest arctic-weight quilted nylon polyester. It features snaps under the collar for an optional hood (A113 Extremes Hood), double knees and ankle-to-waist, two-way leg zippers with protective wind flaps and snap closures. Convenient exterior chest pockets zip shut for security, which allows full range of motion when I’m reaching for my work tools.
“How was your night ?”
That is the usual smirking comment I got when I enter the camp open air kitchen in the morning on Ross Island Sea Ice Shelf sporting my Carhartt Men’s Extremes® Arctic Quilt-Lined / Coverall. It is usually spoken by someone utterly envious of my garb. Why suffer? I’m in Antarctica on an Ice Shelf, it’s cold and windy, and I want warmth, but I’m built for comfort I stay in my Coveralls all day when our temps dip down so low it hurts to even look at the thermometer. And you know what? I’m comfy.
But although it’s nice inside a tent. The Coveralls’ keeps me dry and protected from wind too; when out on the ice shelf waiting for a Delta to arrive from McMurdo “Mac Town”, it’s a real treat to be wearing my Men’s Extremes® Coverall / Arctic Quilt-Lined. And can I say a little bit about the Extremes Hood? Awesome. So I look a little bit like Kenny from SouthPark – this one feature keeps the core temperature intact more than anything else when out in the driving wind.
Men’s Extremes® Coverall / Arctic Quilt-Lined? Don’t wok in cold weather without them! Thanks for a great product!

What a great insulated coverall, just got mine today and boy I'm glad I did after trying them on, I know now that I won't get cold or chilled or wet when if we get a big snow/ice storm or cold spell here just outside of Columbus,Ohio.I can't wait to try it out in the elements.A perfect choice for me finally.
