I've had these bibs for 17 years! Yes 17, so you can imagine how the look. Around year 15 one of the side zippers broke and a fellow employee told me Carhartt has a lifetime warrenty on their zippers. They sure do. They had them back to me in less then a week. I was shocked! Needless to say its time for another pair. Thank you Carhartt.
These bibs are great for work - they keep me warm, dry, and clean. Working in agriculture keeps me outside all the time, and these bibs do their job well. My only complaints have to do with the sizing - I'm in-between inseam sizes, so I had to choose between a pair that was too short or a pair that was slightly too long. Also, I have found that the fly doesn't zip down quite far enough to make doing business an easy task. Other than these small flaws however, a great product that I would highly recommend.
These are extremely comfortable and keep you warm in the dead of winter. They are so durable and tough, that they'll last for years. The range of motion that they allow is amazing. I will definately buy again, and again, and again.
I purchased these for my son who works in the forestry industry - he runs a forwarder and is working in all kinds of weather conditions. Living in the Upper Peninsula the winters are EXTREMELY COLD and WINDY - the carhartt brand is his absolute favorite and wouldn't purchase anything else. Like they say, you get what you pay for!
I got these bibs from my Dad about 8 years ago, he had them for 2 or 3 years before that. I have used them for just about everything. Wearing them while working in the woods, ice fishing, hunting, construction, etc.
I have worn them so much that the insulation is all matted down and has no warming value left. I am going to be getting another pair before it starts getting too cold around here.
Very good quality and keeps you very warm but fit could be a little better. Inseam is fine but the suspenders are way to long and will have to be altered. I would also suggest ordering a size or two larger as for winter cover you always have layers under it. Temp just dipped to -10 and I was very confortable.
I got my pair of these overalls a couple days ago, and am glad to see they are made in USA. The fit was what I was expecting, and they didn't shrink at all in the wash. I did have to wash them twice when I got them, they had a strong smell of mothballs for some reason. After one wash, I could still smell it, so washed them again, and used some febreze with it, and now its only faintly detectable. I hope a few more washings takes the smell away...very odd, never had that happen before. I expect they will last a good long time like my other Carhartt clothes...
