Husband loves it!
I bought this for my husband as a gift and he loves it! He gets compliments everywhere we go. He is 6'3" and the tall 2xl fit him perfectly, which is usually hard to do!

looks amazing
I got this for my husband for Christmas and he loved it! It's nice enough for him to wear at work and casual enough to wear around the house doing light yard work, going for a walk or sitting around a campfire! Love it! So glad Carhartt had an alternative to the bigger outside working jackets!

This jacket is lighter weight and the Medium fit well except sleeves were long but were easily altered. My husband is very pleased with it. Really like the zippered pockets.

Good for Irish weather
I got mine a year ago for "Irish weather"; 40's and rainy , because it sheds water. It's good for that. The hood, sleeves and about 5" of the side panels under the arms are just two layers of material; the water repellant stuff on the outside and what I'll call pebble grain "suede" on the inside. The front and back panels are like a lightly insulated vest. It's unique that way. The downside is that it's not crazy warm on 20 degree days, but I don't care, I have other coats for that; and the sleeves are trim and the "suede" is high friction over, say, flannel. The upside is it does what I wanted; it sheds water, looks "trimmer" and less bulky because sleeves and the side panels aren't so bulky and it's comfortable all day on those drizzly late fall, early winter, early spring days.

Very nice spring/fall jacket
Very nice jacket for what I wanted which was a light weight spring/fall jacket. The only thing that I dislike is that instead of just a flat black there is almost a checkered pattern the is the lining inside of the jacket but it shows through on the outside. Kind of disappointed in that but I had already removed the tags. Mine is black in color so I can't speak to the others having the same problem.

Superb Form and Function
While vacationing in Buffalo I spotted this jacket on a friend of mine. I was drawn to the cut of the jacket and the style. I liked it so much I picked up one of my own at the Carhartt Buffalo store and cannot say enough good things about it.

The fit is perfect. Not too baggy, but enough room to feel comfortable. The material is fantastic with a nice soft inner finish and a rugged, water repellent exterior.

I find the jacket to be perfect for temps in the 20's and 30's. It's a warm jacket despite being lightweight, so I would probably not wear it above 40 degrees. I tend to get hot easily, so take that for what it's worth.

As far at the size is concerned, I am 5'8" and 170 pounds. I have a medium, which is my typical size, so I rated the jacket true-to-size. I tried on a small in the store, thinking I might be able to go down a size, but found it to be too snug. Medium is the best fit for me. I have enough room to layer a heavy shirt underneath if need be.

At the price-point I don't think you can go wrong with this jacket. I haven't seen anything else in this ballpark that offers the same blend of style and features.

Denwood vs Crowley. Can you compare the two?
A shopper on Nov 24, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The Denwood is made of 9.4-ounce, nylon spandex blend, bonded to 100% poly grid textured fleece and the Crowley is made of 13.9-ounce, 90% nylon/10% spandex/100% polyester backing.
Dose this have the same grid fleece lining that reviews say was hard to put on in the older model Denwood? Also which is warmer the Denwood or the Crowley Jacket?
