Everything is just perfect but pocket logo
Best fitting shirt. The force line from Carhartt is my favorite. This shirt fits the bill if you are lean and in decent shape. Not baggy at all on me like the original fit. My only beef with this shirt is the logo on the chest pocket. It is glued on instead of sewn. On a few of the shirts, I've had to remove the peeled away logo and re-glue with fabric adhesive. I'd leave it off completely but think it looks better with the logo ON. I'd gladly pay a few dollars more if the logo was sewn on like the Carhartt WIP clothing items. Hope Carhartt begins to sew these on like they already seem to do with their jackets , hats, and pants, etc... This shirt will no doubt be a best-seller for years to come.

Comfortable, but changes color
I bought 2 of these shirts in black and dark blue; both are very comfortable with great range of movement and breathe well during the summer heat. However with both shirts the dyes stained yellow/pink where I sweat the most making hay (back, chest and pits so I figure it's not a reaction to the deodorant). That said this has happened to all the lightweight carhartt shirts I've bought.

Too pricey for what it is
Got two of these on sale & glad I didn't pay full-price. The shirts are fair overall. Raglan shoulder is binding & I constantly feel it tugging on me, and the short sleeves also bind & ride up. Too much mid-section, not enough shoulder & arm room, as somewhat usual with the "Relaxed Fit" line. They don't really "wick" sweat, but they do dry faster than 100% cotton shirts. You're in your sweat just as much as in an all-cotton T, but it dries faster b/c of the polyester. The downside of this is that every poly-blend T I've ever worn, these included, are much warmer than all cotton so you sweat more in them to begin with. All cotton "breathes" better, in my opinion & I always feel cooler in all cotton, especially if it's a roomy fit so the air circulates. These do seem durable however, and I'm sure I'll get good service out of them as I do all my Carhartt gear. I just won't wear them in the blistering heat. They'll probably make a great base-layer T in the cold weather. Can't speak to the stain release qualities yet but they do seem odor resistant, for all the sweating I do in them!!!!

Poor Work-Dry Replacement
Apparently this is a replacement for the Work-Dry line. Material is not as heavy or durable, and I hate the new shoulders. The sleeves are also cut smaller, so all-in-all it's just not comfortable. If I go up a size, the neck hole is too big, and it just hangs.

Not a good replacement.

Too much shrinkage
I bought three of these, brought them home and tried them on. Seemed ok.-shrunk incredibally-unwearable. Fortunatly the store (Phillipsons in New Hartford, NY) took them back. I have always worn Carhartt xl all cotton tees, and these xl's were unwearable.

A joke of a shirt
I received this shirt a few days ago and washed it as directed. The "Force" insignia on the sleeve is a cheap sticker that curled up and fell off in that 1st wash. Needless to say I was didsapoointed as everything I've bought from Carhartt was high quality.

I would not recommend this shirt to a friend.

Disappointed
Bought two mediums to try them out. Took them home and washed and dried as recommended on the label. Both shirts shrunk and were smaller than small size. Returned them to the store and the owner said that was not possible but reluctantly refunded my money.

Beats regular t-shirts by a mile
It does everything it claims to do, wicks sweat, doesn't retain odor, launders well. It is so much better than 100% cotton t-shirts it isn't even funny. The sleeves are a bit short and tight, but nothing that makes the shirt uncomfortable or look funny. I own several of these in different colors, I can't imagine buying a 100% cotton t-shirt ever again.

fits without bagging, wicks without scratching
I've had one of these off the rack for a year.. I'm short and stocky, but not a beer gut . Usually Large is too small and XL is baggy.. These are called "Relaxed Fit". Just right.
They're a soft, tight knit 65/35 blend, not 100% cotton, so it wicks fine but isn't scratchy like some are and it looks nice and it's held up well with no sign of "bacon collar"
There. I'm going to order a few more and wax my car with some others I'm getting rid of.

Does this shirt have the stretchy type material to it, or is it like a regular "buy at Walmart" type material? Thanks
A shopper on Dec 5, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I don't shop at Walmart, so I can't speak to what they sell. The shirt is 60% polyester, 40% cotton. The inside of the shirt looks different from the outside, almost like a lining which provides the wicking of perspiration I suppose. That is probably why they feel more lush than a cheap 100% cotton shirt. I never thought of the shirt as "stretchy", but I guess it is a little. I also have the long sleeve version and have been wearing those since the weather turned cool under my flannels. I guess the price is a little higher than regular t-shirts, but I do enjoy wearing them, so it's worth it to me.
what conditions can this shirt be worn in? can it with stand sparks from a grinder?

Do you have a size 3xl tall in your Cotten t shirts?
Susan D on Aug 29, 2016
